Summer camp and experiments in art go hand-in-hand. Join this class and find yourself both blending with and standing out from the crowd! A self-portrait, experimentation with non-traditional surfaces such as corrugated cardboard, and special blending techniques will encourage the artist in you to achieve new creative genius. Session 2 will have different projects than Session 1 although it is not required to attend the 1st session to attend the 2nd.

This two hour camp will focus on building 2 and 3 dimensional art from items you toss away. Students will learn to look at "trash" in a new way! Most materials can be found as close as your local food store or your trash bin!

This class will explore the ease and freshness of watercolor with a focus on the traditional techniques of transparent watercolor wet-into-wet, and dry brush. It includes instruction in how value and color mixing work, and easy ways to make paintings dramatic and rich.

Relief sculpture class that will give children a chance to express who they are through copied pictures, toys, candy wrappers and their other favorite things. Children will need to consider items to use to express who they are and bring some of those items from home to include in their piece.

Begin your art journey and release the artist within you by joining this class! Drawing I will enhance your observational senses and enable their application to your work. You will learn how to record what you observe, learn the role of the line in developing a drawing, and also become familiar with various ways in which the elements, principles of design and composition improve your creative approach and critical judgment.

Your passport to better pictures begins here: bring along your point-and-shoot camera and become more confident when snapping those summer vacation pictures. Study the settings on your camera, the guidelines of composing a picture, and get an understanding of basic lighting. No phone cameras, please.

Put the pedal to the metal and get your photography skills up to speed by devoting your summer Saturday mornings to this course concentrating on more challenging aspects of camera art. Eight guidelines of composition will be covered. Younger students need a driver available for transportation, older students should plan to bring a vehicle. DSLR cameras ideal, point-and-shoot are acceptable, but will give less successful results.
